Mighty Ducks

I still can’t quite believe that Michael Eisner was bold enough to buy into the NHL with a real version of the Mighty Ducks. They had the best logo in the entire league, because it was designed by Disney artists. And then when the company was sold, they foolishly abandoned that branding.

Now and again, they bring it back for nostalgia, but a cartoonish duck is the strongest mark that team will ever have. I made this modern interpretation of the original idea, using colors inspired by the old uniforms. I also made a center ice logo treatment for the Pond of Anaheim, the greatest name for a hockey rink I’ve ever heard.
